The Clyde Fitch Report Takes on Forces of Evil

A new post on The Clyde Fitch Report takes direct aim at the evil forces of politics who continue to cook up petty witchy ways to obstruct the lawful and inevitable landmarking of historic Marx Brothers Place in Carnegie Hill, NYC.

CFR editor Leonard Jacobs' message to these dirty politicians is loud & clear: Get your hands out of your pockets, your thumbs out of your ears and get the heck out of the way of history!

Please read the whole article on The Clyde Fitch Report today: http://www.clydefitchreport.com/2010/09/spurned-by-cb8-and-garodnick-marx-brothers-place-goes-to-the-dogs/#comment-24105.

Please Vacate Invalid Vote on Marx Brothers Place

Please cut & paste & email the following message to Community Board 8 Chair, Ms. Jacqueline Ludorf at: thompson@cb8m.com with a copy to 93rdst.beautification@gmail.com. Thank you!

SUBJECT LINE: Please Vacate Invalid July 21, 2010 CB8 Vote

Dear Ms. Ludorf,

In light of the facts surrounding the July 21, 2010 Community Board 8 vote on the 93rd Street Beautification Association's Request for Evaluation (RFE), I hereby respectfully request that CB8 vacate that tainted vote and restore the 93rd Street Beautification Association's Request to the full CB8 Board calendar for a fair and proper vote at the earliest possible date.

Thank you for your kind attention to this matter.

Sincerely,

NAME & ADDRESS ARE REQUIRED

The 93rd Street Beautification Association Asks CB8 to Vacate Tainted July 21 Vote on Marx Brothers Place

On July 19, 2010, Community Board 8 Landmarks Committee Co-Chair Jane Parshall announced that she had to recuse herself from any involvement in voting on historic Marx Brothers Place because she has a conflict of interest which ethically precludes her from being able to participate in the matter.

With Parshall out of the mix, the Landmarks Committee voted overwhelmingly in favor of supporting the 93rd Street Beautification Association's Request to landmark the historic block. The 7-0 vote (with Parshall's 1 abstention) was a huge boost to finally moving the preservation campaign forward in trying to get it calendared for a public hearing before the NYC Landmarks Preservation Commission.

The next step was supposed to be a Full CB8 Board vote scheduled for July 21, 2010. But before the matter ever had a chance to see the light of day, CB8's Landmarks Committee Co-Chair Jane Parshall - ignoring her own admitted conflict of interest - inappropriately inserted herself into the matter and prejudiced the Full Board vote.

As justice demands that the invalid July 21, 2010 CB8 vote be vacated, the 93rd Street Beautification Association has asked CB8 to immediately set aside the 7/21/10 vote - tainted by Parshall's inappropriate actions - and restore the Association's Request to the CB8 calendar as soon as possible.
